The Muffin Man is Ravan’s sworn enemy. Back in Vedenar The Muffin Man stole some muffins from a Veden shopkeeper to “feed his family” and to “steal from a man who was conducting illegal axehound fights in his basement”. It’s unclear if this shopkeeper was actually conducting these fights, but these reasonings are why The Muffin Man stole from him,
As the Muffin Man was running away, Ravan sent the guards after him in an attempt to enact some justice. This caused the Muffin Man to be sent to jail for about 45 minutes, causing him to miss feeding his “family” - which he later described were his numerous pets - and caused a few of them to actually starve in the process.
The Muffin Man vowed revenge against Ravan at this point, and jumped on a ship to follow after them towards Kharbranth. The Muffin man brought two WhiteSpine and several Khornaks, and it’s unclear at this point how exactly The Muffin Man was able to stealthily bring those creatures with him.
The Muffin Man arrived in Kharbranth a few days after the party and immediately found that he needed to raise some money to get his revenge. He started and founded The Yips Podcast and immediately made a small fortune as the people of Kharbranth went on the hunt to find the Yips and they purchased his pods to catch that.
The Muffin Man then created a plan to lure the party down to the Palanaeum basement, where he launched an attack on the party. His party was able to dispatch his whitespines and khornaks, which he was very angry about, and they got around his traps to force him to flee the basement.
The party interacted with him in King Taravangian’s throne room, where he was dressed in extremely fine clothing and had been granted some kind of audience with the King. Ravan ended up attacking King Taravangian and in the confusion he escaped the throne room and ran away.
After leaving the throne room he kidnapped Handsy and seemingly took him to Vedenar. He also hired Tink to spy on the party for him.
