Kholin War Camps (Shattered Plains)

Type: Home base (current tenant status: complicated) Located at: The Shattered Plains Landmarks: The Glyph Pool (Shop), assorted Church of the Yips chapels, Highprince Aladar’s camp Notable residents: Highprince Aladar’s people, including Gavlin’s family

Overview

The Kholin War Camps have been the party’s home base for most of the campaign — or at least the closest thing a group of career criminals, Radiants, and one very determined button thief has had to a fixed address. It’s where the Glyph Pool boutique got set up as a front for the party’s actual operations, where Nucko dropped the single biggest reveal of the campaign by casually confessing to being a lifelong Ghostblood double agent, and, not far off on the Plains, where the whole story eventually came to a head in the final showdown against Sebarial at a remote research outpost.

The camps are also, technically, still home — Highprince Aladar’s people are stationed here, including Gavlin’s own family, and the multiple chapels of the Church of the Yips scattered through camp suggest at least one religion has taken hold among the soldiery whether the Highprinces sanctioned it or not. Whether it still counts as “home base” for the whole party is a fairer question than it used to be, given that its most notorious resident has since packed a bag and walked off toward a different fight entirely. See Nucko.
