The Glyph Pool (Boutique)
Type: Front business — premium boutique, Kholin War Camps Actually: A safehouse with an unreasonably good tailor Built and run by: Dblar Basement renovation: courtesy of the late Kael
Overview
On paper, Gellis & Joran’s is a premium market in the Kholin War Camps selling fine threads, boutique buttons, custom footwear, and imported stone sculptures — the kind of shop that exists so rich people have somewhere to spend money while feeling cultured about it. In practice, it’s the party’s front, built and run by Dblar, with a two-story underground lair carved beneath it by Kael back when he still had the time to spend an afternoon quietly excavating a secret base under a button shop instead of anywhere flashier.
Getting in requires knowing to lift the heavy stone rug that hides the actual entrance, which is either brilliant tradecraft or exactly the kind of thing that gets discovered by a nosy customer eventually. Below it: private quarters, an armory built specifically to house Torin’s Shardbow, a study for Ravan, and a dining lounge with a bar, because apparently even a secret criminal headquarters needs somewhere to unwind. And tucked into the lounge wall is a stone vault so secret that even Dblar — the man who built the entire place — doesn’t know it’s there. Somebody trusts nobody completely. That’s probably the correct call.
