Church of the Yips

Overview
A religious cult that venerates the Heralds as unique “Yip” spren — a theology that would already be a stretch on its best day, except the church’s actual living demigod is Hansy, a dog. Specifically, Kael’s stolen dog. Elevated to “the Goodest Boy,” first of the Yips, and worshipped accordingly through a hierarchy of Nine Seneschals who, as far as this wiki can tell, run the entire operation with a completely straight face. Nobody involved appears to find any of this strange. That may be the most unsettling part.
History with the Party
- The chapel in the Kholin War Camps has been burned down. So has a second chapel in Highprince Aladar’s camp. Both fires happened while the party was hunting Thack and Hansy, and both times the church rebuilt the schedule around it rather than the theology.
- Guardian Shifty remains an unwitting party contact inside the church — a man doing his job faithfully for an organization that would very much prefer he wasn’t talking to the people who keep burning its buildings down.
