Overview
A secretive, utilitarian organization built on the kind of philosophical calculus that sounds reasonable right up until you’re the “few” in “sacrifice the few for the many.” They are obsessed with Radiant Ideals and the party’s growing powers, which is a nice way of saying they’ve been quietly running the numbers on everyone at this table and did not like what the spreadsheet told them.
History with the Party
- Interrogated and imprisoned Ravan under a fake identity — “Wot,” alias “Doll” — which is either an elaborate tradecraft choice or someone in the Diagram genuinely thought that name would hold up under questioning. It did not.
- Put out a hunt on Rilano the moment he tried to walk away from the organization, because apparently “utilitarian calculus” only runs in one direction when it’s your own defector on the other end of it.
- Ambushed the party at the meteorite crash site with genuinely upgraded hardware — Drainers, compressor “stiff armor” units — proving that whatever else the Diagram is, its R&D department was not sitting idle.
- Dahl resurfaced very much alive in New Natan despite being presumed dead, which this wiki notes without further comment because presumed-dead people not staying that way is, at this point, just how the campaign works.
