Overview
Shai is the high priestess who opened this entire campaign by capturing the party outright and hasn’t fully let go of them since. She dueled Theren in the party’s first real fight, fled when it went sideways, and then had the nerve to reappear later in Kharbranth just to twist the knife on Kael — dangling knowledge of his missing mother and pointing him toward Yulay with a line that has aged into this wiki’s unofficial villain-taunt hall of fame: “Well, maybe next time we can discuss where your mother is.” She then vanished before anyone could get a follow-up question in, which is very on-brand for a woman whose entire personality is “knows more than you, isn’t telling.”
She resurfaced yet again at the meteorite ambush, uninvited and unexplained, and settled the question of whether she’s still dangerous by summoning a Shardblade out of nowhere and executing the enemy Captain Ferris in a single strike. Whose side that put her on in that moment remains genuinely unclear. This wiki suspects the answer is “her own.”
