Gereh is the party’s off-world encyclopedia — a Scadrian expat who showed up, dispensed a career’s worth of Cosmere lore, and had the good sense to retire rather than get dragged into whatever the party was about to do next. Confirmed that Sebarial hailed from Nalthis (relevant background, given what Sebarial eventually turned out to be, and given that he’s now dead), and warned Ravan that walking off Roshar entirely would mean breaking his Skybreaker oaths — a warning delivered with the weary patience of a man who’s had this conversation before.
