Bacgkround Jamma is a Herdazian sailor that originally sailed on Star’s crew. He met the party when Star docked beside The Wind’s Favor and they tried to rob the party and obtain the firemoss that was on the ship.
The party actually hired Jamma away from star at a rate of 300 marks per month, and 12% of the crew’s total earnings.
After the crew crashed into Kharbranth Jamma was responsible for getting both the Wind’s favor and The Better Wind’s Favor repaired as well as overseeing the sale of the firemoss. After he sold the firemoss, he gave Captain Sebarial his cut, and then held onto the party’s payment until he could deliver it to Theren.
Captain Sebarial agreed to pay Jamma’s salary for a month in an agreement he made with Theren and Nucko.

- Jamma calls Nucko his cousin, but no one really knows if he’s actually his cousin.
- Jamma does not speak Alethi, and as a result can only communicate with Theren, Nucko, and Ravan - but only if Ravan is in envoy form.
- Jamma has confirmed that he has a family, a wife and two kids, but not much is known about them.
- Jamma actually doesn’t like chouta, but he pretends to like it so no one will make fun of him.
