Overview
Stukov was the racist, bigoted city lord of Kilna, purchased as a prisoner off the dark-eyed revolt and dragged below decks for interrogation, at which point he immediately demonstrated exactly why an entire city had risen up against him. Given the microphone, so to speak, he used it to explain that “the Almighty chose us to lead,” that dark-eyed people simply “have smaller brains,” and that this was all, in his words, “just biology” — delivered with the calm confidence of a man who had never once been told no by anyone who mattered. He spent his entire captivity demanding to be freed and taunting the people holding the knives, which is a genuinely fascinating strategy for a man with no leverage, no army in reach for another hour, and rapidly diminishing hit points.
