Yes, that Taravangian — patron saint of “I have a plan for every contingency, including this one,” and the man whose Kharbranth vault the party had the audacity to rob for a copy of the Diagram. Also serves as the patron and protector of Thack, better known around the wiki as “the Muffin Man,” whom he insists on calling “Thak” — one letter off, presumably on purpose, because everything this man does is presumably on purpose.
Key Moments
- His private vault got cracked wide open by Nucko, who had the class to leave an illusion of the Diagram sitting where the real one used to be. A courtesy. Nucko does not extend those often.
- Revealed, with the smug satisfaction of a man who saw the whole thing coming, that he’d known the heist was happening the entire time — courtesy of the Muffin Man’s spying — and had his own guard, Gereh, arrested on the spot for the betrayal. A king playing several moves ahead, as is tradition.
- Got briefly grappled and pinned by Theren before slipping away in the chaos once the party’s attention split. Even a Diagram-brained monarch isn’t above eating a grapple check when nobody’s watching him closely enough.
