Background Leif is still a little bit of a mystery to the party. He has confirmed he is a 5th ideal Truthwatcher that swore his fifth ideal while observing the events of the Recreance. He is married to Elara and has several locations of his winehouse, the Glyphpool throughout Roshar.
He’s told the party that he has learned how to store memories in stormlight, and he has an illusion of himself managing and running each location of the Glyphpool. The party has seen him in full shardplate and with his shardspear, and they’ve also observed him making many duplicates of himself when he defended them against Nale. He’s told the party that his 5th ideal has made it difficult for him to help them in their quests physically, but he would be happy to help them in any other resource, knowledge, or training that they might need.
Campaign Notes
Leif was the individual who found the party after they escaped from the Envisagers in Bavland. He asked for help in finding his wife, Elara, who had scattered in an attempt to discover a new spren for a fabrial she was working on. She was eventually cornered by a whitespine and Leif and the party had to work to save her.
Leif’s illusions have interacted with the party several times, but Leif recently arrived in Kharbranth and hired Kael’s mother, Mirad to work at his Kharbranth Glyphpool location.
